Thanks. There are however, two other possibilities.

1. They started the gofundme and haven't yet realized they needed to have the tumor stored properly

2. Whether or not 1 is true, they can wait for the inevitable recurrence, and get a clean sample on the second operation. They'll know much more by that time.
