I have been saying that for years. At restaurant depot, the shrimp are processed AND PORTIONED

Send some guy down to restaurant depot....

Case of tiger shrimp 16/20 cleaned is going for under $5 per pound

PORTIONED being the most important word

Frozen, portioned shrimp. Thaw only what is necessary. Period

No casino on earth is going to pay $10/lb for a shrimp buffet, not happening, except in Gerald’s fantasies.

No restaurant is going to buy fresh shrimp that cannot be immediately sold. SHMP costs too much to let go to waste, and making shrimp salad after hours isn’t very profitable to limit the waste.

Their $5.50 cost per pound isn’t based in reality nor is their $10.50 selling price, both in my opinion.

Of course, DefamationsUFlash will say that their product is sushi grade and folks will gladly pay $50-$60 for a shrimp plate…
