She said they are ready to progress with the other trials. That's it.

She didn't say they were ready to start, or had deals lined up, or anything. Just that they were ready to progress. In no way does that mean "once the MAA is submitted, we will announce the commencement of the next trial".

She probably said something similar to this about application submission. Something along the lines of 'once data lock is achieved, we are ready to progress with submitting to RA's for approval'. It took 3 years after data lock to achieve that "progression".

Being ready to progress with something doesn't mean that it is ready to go. It generally means that's when you are going to start working on it.

You say:

they have had over a year (now) to work on.

I say, they haven't worked on it at all in the past year(s) and now that MAA is submitted they can finally start to progress on it again.
