Muscarinic receptor modulators for schizophrenia attract multibillion-dollar attention

Bristol Myers Squibb committed US$14 billion to buy Karuna Therapeutics, just weeks after AbbVie paid $8.7 billion for Cerevel Therapeutics. The acquired muscarinic receptor modulators stand to become the first novel type of schizophrenia drugs to make it to market in decades.
