Actually, you pointed out something that at least is half correct. 2008 the market slumped badly, but in 2000 it was only a usual annual correction.....

Try 100% correct. The market was down both in the second half and for the year in 2000 (i.e., it clearly did not finish strong and in the plus like you said).

Below is your post...

The year should struggle a bit until the summer, off and on, but the second half will be strong and finish in the plus. This held true every 4th year of the Presidential Cycle since 1950.
