“….fossil fuels and the affordable energy they bring are still fundamental building blocks of modern society”

An absolute truth that will not be displaced in any of our lifetimes. Or possibly even the next generation. It is critical that political leaders make prudent decisions or energy poverty could encompass the world with devastating outcomes. This is the reason why the Joe and BHO energy agenda is so disappointing.

For me, it is unconscionable to restrict access to affordable energy. There are groups of people in the world that are overwhelmed by serious problems, such as no access to clean water, so why push lack of cheap energy on them as well?

In my opinion, developing innovative emission reduction technology is more desirable and realistic than eliminating hydrocarbon utilization throughout the world.

The decline in global production, that is being forecast by some, could be catastrophic for certain population centers. Let me ask our neighbors in the North, how would you be faring today without hydrocarbons for heat (oil, gas, coal)? Will food be available for purchase without fuel for production or transportation? Etc….

With this projected decline in oil and gas that some predict, global demand could overwhelm global supply as soon as 2025. And this will end cheap energy for everyone.

If memory serves, the last time Gulfslope filed a form NT, it took 6 weeks for the filings to become current. And I cannot help but wonder if Mr. Seitz has something brewing in his back pocket. That would certainly make this delay worthwhile.

On the bright side, optimism stands out prominently after last night’s political results. Time will tell the tale.

Once again, thank you ‘old wise one’ for your factual insights. Always welcome.
