I'm taking out the garbage this morning and I see the Gendarmes (the cops) rolling down the street at about 5 miles an hour.
So I'm thinking that it is probably the new security that the government promised 10 years ago and is finally being delivered, just checking out the neighborhood.
So they pass by my house, I'm finishing a smoke, they come back and park in front of my house. (good thing I ditched the weed in the garbage can when I first saw them a hundred yards down the road acting suspicious ok that part I made up)
Anyway, they ask me if I know Isabel (mother) and Alicia (teenage daughter). They are trying to find their house. They have no other information to work on.
I told them no, but they can forget the other side of the street,they are older people with sons and daughters but no grandchildren that might be teenagers.
It was right about that time that I realized that I fit into the category, damn, I'm not 35 anymore.....
So I described the occupants as best I could all down the street,none really fit what they were looking for.
Then I asked them if they were sure it was rue du beau soleil and not ZAC du beau soleil, or Lieu dit Beau Soleil.
They weren't sure. It's all in the same area but widened their search to several hundred houses instead of 30.
I just hope the 2 girls are fine
