I would love a settlement. I would hope Hong is offering a 'discount' for a settlement. But on the other side, I can see why the infringers won't settle. We have a group of patents that are being infringed on. Some are lock solid and they have been and certainly should be found guilty. Some patents are still under scrutiny with PTAB. Why would the infringers settle on things they are still hopeful may be invalidated. And based on the ugliness of yesterdays livestream, there's still an uphill climb to validate patents with the seemingly corrupt PTAB. The infringers have been successful for years (going on decades) avoiding paying out to Netlist. I think the biggest reason they won't settle is pure GREED. They haven't had to pay yet, and are hoping to minimize what they will eventually have to pay. On the other side Hong is aware of all they've gotten away with and I'm sure he's annoyed to no end with them and is hesitant to give any of them a really good deal. He rightfully wants them to pay what they owe, for the past, and royalties going forward. And that means fighting this out to the end on all fronts. That's my take.

I was concerned when we were under $1.20 for a while there. I wish I had followed Buffet's axiom 'buy when others are fearful'. Problem was I was fearful. I was actually waiting to add under $1. Never got that opportunity, and hopefully won't, though you never know. I did average down a week or so ago at 1.8, but didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling listening to yesterday's hearing. We'll see what happens with todays info.
