Edge of the network!!!

What happens if organizations didn’t allow employees to use cell phones to connect to the cloud and instead relied on computers at the edge of the network. Isn’t there a lot of hard drive space not being used in laptops that could be secured with SEDs. Isn’t the cloud a big target?? There are billions of TPMs out there just waiting to help secure corporate networks. Why be an employee who could walk off a cliff, burn their eyes out, walk in front of a car or bus when they could use a secure laptop instead of a phone using the cloud? Does this make sense to you Methinks?
