I use to live on glenneyre and Cress St. Just a block east of PCH. Use to work at the Pottery Shack. Las Brisas was great for margaritas and sunsets. I remember the festival. Later they added the sawdust festival. It was free the first year. It was booths of all the artist that didn’t make the cut for the main event. It was a favorite hangout to meet women. Especially those from inland. They just loved the beach guys!!

Oh and Balboa Island was a favorite hangout during the summer. Buddy Ebsen had a home there and we hung out with him several times between the period of the Beverly Hillbillies and Barneby Jones. Graduated HS in 71 so I know it was that summer if I’m not mistaken. He was very likable guy. Nothing pretentious about him. I had a 67 convertible mustang and use to meet women and park near his home. He would come out and say “so who do we have here this evening”. I would always say “my cousin” and he would chuckle. I miss those days. Talk about carefree. The major concern back then was the draft and the Vietnam war. Best music ever!!

I could go on and on. I’ll save it for our get together and not waste any more space here.
