The trial was a total failure in terms of prescribed endpoints. The data was statistically significant in only one ad-hoc analysis of RBSQ and for only four weeks. At the twelve week trial conclusion, the RSBQ data was not statistically significant.

The only remaining steps are to complete a full data set and possibly meet with regulatory authorities for their input. Absent encouragement from the regulatory authorities due to the complete data set, it's time to move on. It's very unfortunate for the suffering Rett patients.

What I am curious about is why AVXL did not file a Form 8-K for a material adverse event. The stock price certainly has dropped a material amount and whether the low has been hit is uncertain. Missling may be trying to put on as good a face as possible on the data in order to possibly discourage a class action suit. There must be more to the story. Violation of SEC disclosure rules is a very serious matter.
