Absolutely !!! After my last NYSE company, I learned to encourage all my shareholders to "hold" the certificates. I was shocked, no mystified how many shareholders bought stock through their broker without any idea how the process works!! "Blind Faith" in today's markets is a financial "Death Sentence" !! just think about those poor shareholders, writing letters to Congress, asking where their shares are!!! Hell, most of those Reps don't even know where the bath roon is!!! Those shareholders are screwed and even if the SEC investigates, it will take years to recover their money, if ever!!!! It's like "LOOKIN FOR A DIAMOND RING IN A LOST AND FOUND IN A MEXICAN BORDER TOWN" !!!!!
You gotta take responsibility for your own financial well being The financial markets and legal system of today hasn't changed one damn bit from the one my Grandfather told me about when he was a young man working in the New Mexico State Land Office trying to use the "Rule Book" to sort out who owned what in Lincoln County, NM after the Land Wars!! He finally threw the Rule Book away and called Thomas Catron, the most powerful man in New Mexico, and asked him,,"Who owned what? and How much WHAT should cost"!!! Kinda like we do today when trying to sort out securities fraud/issues!!! We just call Ken Griffin, and he and his partners like Fidelity..... just tell us what the deal is !! AND if we don't like what we're told, we can plead our case to the SEC/DOJ/House Financial Services Committee their "enforcers" that have replaced Billy The Kid(William H.Boney), Jesse Adams, Pat Garrett and a host of others.
My challenge to anyone is to show me how it's any different now than it was back then!!!
