Personally I'm no fan of lecanemab. But it did solidly hit its endpoints, the scientific advisory board unanimously supported it, and both Dr. Grimmer and Mayo have said they think it has a place in Alzheimer's therapy. As I've said before, if my wife or I had Alzheimer's, I'd be against our taking it; but with the advisory committee unanimously for it, and Mayo and Grimmer modestly supporting it, I think a claim that corruption explains it's approval is farfetched.
