Flipper, is the leukapheresis more critical to the number of doses than the size of the tumor? If that's the case, what would prevent doing the leukapheresis more than once.


In the UCLA ATL-DC process they can do so as they manufacturer each dose individually. The process is more expensive but allows for additional luekos and also the final product is used fresh, not frozen.

For the DCVax-L process they manufacturer all at once. So cannot say they need more monocytes at dose N as they used all the lysate at initial manufacturing.

If you are suggesting they do multiple leukos for the initial mfg run then that is going to be harsh on the patient and take a long time as the patient needs to recover their WBC count.
