Presuming that the hybrid yarn they're holding weighs 25 kg (55 lbs.) and that its a normal 6-8 cocoon fiber yarn, this small batch of hybrid yarn pictured could produce up to 2,750+/- square yards (20 lbs. yarn/1000 square yards fabric) of PURE UNBLENDED silk fabric . **Small batch silk fabric weaving machinery is generally defined as 600 -1000 square yards of fabric per production run (ie. filling the machine with enough yarn warp/weft to start weaving). **Warwick Mills state of the art SMALL BATCH fabric weaving machinery can produce 640 square yards of material per production run (filling the machine).
