It's undeniable that their design (other than CT), engineering and manufacturing are years ahead of legacy auto,



This is certainly true. But the real question is, can they compete with China and to a lesser extent S. Korea and Japan? In the USA, Tesla is the only EV game, when matched against Ford, GM and Stellantis. In the rest of the world Chinese manufacturers are expanding at an alarming rate. In China where Tesla once enjoyed a significant market share, they are being marginalized by the domestic manufacturers. Tesla will be there (globally) in 5 years, but they will no longer be the dominant force they were 5 years ago.
