But that's exactly what Pfizer did with the earlier work of Dr. Arad and that was incorporated into Paxlovid. Pax has stronger 3CL protease inhibition characteristics than Tollovid, but Tollovid is more than capable of doing the job and doesn't have the issues of Paxlovid with continued use. There's tons of documented cases where severe rebound in Covid and Long Covid after Paxlovid use is discontinued. Tollovid doesn't have that issue because it can be used without side effects or harm until the immune system can return to normal.
