Several reasons
1) Nondisclosure, he's being as honest as he is allowed to be with his retail investors legally.

2) He previously said he doesn't know why share price is so low. I would opine he knows full well why and is taking steps to prevent a return to the trips. He X-posted he liked the the .001 area for buying back shares.

3.) As we finally know what already made perfect sense to him at the time... He's dead serious about an NYSE listing

Anyway the chips fall. There is no better substitute than YOUR OWN DD
