Benefits of Tollovid are not the same as ingesting Gromwell root powder purchased online. That will be hit or miss, and could be dangerous as was proven with author Alisa Valdes, who ended up in the hospital after giving away some of the free Tollovid provided for her case study, and replacing it with Gromwell root purchased from Amazon. She had amazing results while on Tollovid that were well documented in her Twitter posts, but her actions invalidated her study and Todos was unable to use her data.

PYRROLIZIDINE ALKALOID (PA) CONTENT
Todos ensures the safety of its Tollovid® product lines by meeting or beating rigorous standards set by the European Union for pyrrolizidine alkaloid (PA) content of < 400 ug/kg. These alkaloids constitute a class of plant toxin associated with disease in humans and animals and are commonly found in certain plant species that are used as food supplements. The US FDA has not yet set required standards for PAs. Capsules from all commercial lots of Tollovid® have been tested by an external credentialed reference lab for the presence of PAs. All samples fell below the lower limit of detection for PA content (<5 ug/kg).
HEAVY METALS
Todos ensures compliance with the most rigorous US standards for food supplements in the United States. All batches of Tollovid® are tested for heavy metal toxins and pass current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) quality controls. The titanium dioxide contained in the gelcap surrounding the Tollovid® ingredients is known to be non-carcinogenic when ingested orally. Material from all commercial lots of Tollovid® have been tested by credentialed third-party reference laboratories selected by our contract manufacturer to test for heavy metal.
Good luck with any testing done on products purchased online. You might try it and not have any short-term adverse effects, but as many studies have shown, the harm comes from build-up of these elements in your body. It is commonly known that mercury concentrates in tuna, and most tuna we consume contains low levels of mercury. The levels aren't adverse for occasionally eating tuna, but eating tuna regularly for extended periods can result in dangerous levels of mercury accumulating in the human body. I know a woman who was hospitalized for mercury poisoning as a result of eating 2 - 3 cans of tuna per day over a period of several months, as part of a weight reduction diet. Untested natural products such as Gromwell root can impact us in the same manner with long-term adverse effects that aren't evident in the short term.
