TSLA Cybertruck - Talked to neighbor that had a deposit (he's around 20000 on the list) on the 500 mi range version (or so he wished) this morning. Super disappointed with the range as I had thought. He has been following the CT development a lot closer than I have and was all excited about getting his the previous time I saw him a couple of months ago. Amongst the people that he interacts with that has CT on order, the attitude is similar, big disappointment with 1st range and close 2nd pricing. My neighbor is thinking Ford Lightening now as he knows someone with one. I looked at the Rivian last thursday. Both Rivian and Tesla offer additional range via bigger battery pack in case of Rivian and bolt on battery in the case of Tesla. Except in the latter case, the battery extender is shoved into the bed taking away space. My current opinion is that CT is dead on arrival as a high volume product. The "beast mode" can be a collector's item I suppose.
