Obviously, you are clueless about shorting.

First, you need a margin account and 90+% of OTC investors have cash accounts. Then you have margin maintenance fees.

Then you have to locate shares to borrow to short. There is a broker fee and a Borrow rate.

When the broker locates shares to short they immediately sell the shares and give you the money.

But, here is the biggest problem it is called the $2.50 rule - for every share you borrow where the price is below $2.50 you are required to have $2.50 in a margin account - so if you borrow 1 million shares of HUMBL to short you would need $2.5 million in your margin account and you couldn't use those funds until you close out your open short position.

Shorting on the OTC is rare and naked shorting on the OTC is almost non-existent.

And shorting isn't illegal but it isn't for novice investors.
