The reality is, I'm not sure if it matters (to Amarin) whether there is one generic competitor or 14. Pharmacies either fill a generic or the fill branded Vascepa. The PBM's and insurers make the deals with manufacturers based on price, but that doesn't really impact whether or not a generic gets filled. It's not like having another brand of ketchup on the shelf. And in reality, having more generics likely hurts each of the generics more than it hurts Amarin. Plus it reduces the volume of API that each generic can negotiate with manufacturers to buy.

Am I thinking correctly, or am I missing something?
