Very Frequent Publication; Weekly

Speaking of the peer review journal, does anyone know how and when they publish these types of articles?

There are two major American medical journals, the Journal of the American Medical Association, JAMA; and the New England Journal of Medicine, NEJM.

JAMA is published 48 times per year in print/online issues, and new articles are published every weekday online. NEJM, too, is published weekly.

Of course, there are specialty medical journals that concentrate on particular disease classes, such as neurology.

Ideally, the Anavex article will appear in either JAMA or NEJM. They are like the New York Times itself, purveyors of medical information that cannot be questioned by anyone, even the New York Times.

But, the article may appear in another medical journal. Little matter, as it will be “peer-reviewed,” checked, confirmed, and approved by editorial boards of practicing physicians or research experts who never want their names attached to medical fraud or error.

So, in any week in the next year the journal article could appear. For Anavex, and CNS disease patients, everything after that will be different.
