For a liar to successfully deceive the victim, the liar must know that the lie is a falsehood. In order to be successfully deceived, the victim must believe the lie to be true. When a person acts in bad faith, that person is both the liar and the victim of the lie.

One of the Ten Commandments is "thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour"; for this reason, lying is generally considered a sin in Christianity.

$TSOI I had the very best Thanksgiving. A friend's son (35 also a fishing buddy) Had told me when asked if he believed in a GOD, his reply was NO. Well hes been reading the bible and long story short the old testament via the Holy Spirit convicted him and he is now -all glory be to GOD-- a born again Christian .
I had actually kind of written him off (to my shame)It go's to show you the power of the WORD and revelation from the Holy Spirit
