The Holy Spirit, is the third person of the Trinity. One of the primary works of the Holy Spirit is to regenerate the hearts of those who have faith in Jesus Christ. Regeneration is a supernatural work of God, by which the Holy Spirit gives new life to a person's spirit, enabling them to live a new life in Christ. This work of the Holy Spirit is not something that can be achieved by human effort or willpower, but it is entirely a work of God's grace.
