Don't shoot the messenger, but due to the Dutch Auction and the other company buybacks this year, I imagine most stockholders have an unrealized gain in IDCC. Between now and the end of the year (33 business days) many people and taxable funds will be doing some tax loss selling. This year IDCC will often be selected to take gains to offset those losses. A portfolio with a 5% holding of IDCC at the beginning of the year could easily represent 10% by now. Investment diversification equates to how well many people sleep at night. So even retirement accounts may decide to sell some. (JMHM)

Don't get me wrong, IDCC has done a lot of things successfully this year besides retiring a significant amount of their own stock. My first purchase of IDCC was in 1997 and the company's future is brighter than ever. (MO)
