They are fine, and most likely there will be a new team in when whatever BP comes in most firmly with them. No firm would go out and hire new people now, pay them 10% in equity, and promises just to get bought out or do a JV a few months later where a partner wants their own team.

That's not going to happen and there is no reason WHY it would happen.
