Device to Facilitate Anavex CNS Disease Prophylaxis

An international team of researchers has developed a handheld, non-invasive device that can detect biomarkers for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases. The biosensor can also transmit the results wirelessly to a laptop or smartphone.

In a year or two, when blarcamesine or Anavex 3-71 are available for the treatment or prevention of either Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s diseases, there is now the helpful prospect that medical personnel will be able to effectively, cheaply, and quickly determine the presence of CNS disease biomarkers in candidate patients.

There continue to be a diversity of emerging Alzheimer’s disease tests or diagnostics. This new device appears to have wide and effective application. With it, Anavex’s molecules could be prescribed at the earliest, prodromal stages of either Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s.
