Life sciences efforts take a lot of time, money, and people to execute. The amount of effort involved to get into and stay in compliance is very, very large. And the expertise required to do things correctly is diverse. Most of the work is tedious. A company commercializing a single compound for a single indication could need 40 people... or 100 people.

In Anavex's case, they have been running trials in Alzheimers, Parkinsons, and Rett. And they have more trials queued up to run in Parkinsons, Fragile X, and others. They have 2 candidates they are now in trials with - 2-73 and 3-71 - and 2 others that are still early stage.

They also have been coordinating with several regulatory bodies and developing a track record of success in their purviews: US FDA, EU EMA, Australia, Canada, and UK.

For people who are criticizing Dr. Missling, while that is your right (of course), I think you are wrong. A life sciences CEO develops the organization, points it at its goals, and makes sure everyone has what they need to execute. The CEO ensures the people and money are there for the company - and Dr. Missling has done a superb job of this. He sets the ethical tone and expectations for the company, and he has done a superb job of this, too. Over the last 9+ years, he has brought Anavex to the brink of commercial success despite the challenges posed by both a global pandemic and concerted efforts to create fear and doubt around the company and its programs.

For those who are sincere in their criticisms, I think the root of those criticisms is not in how the company is operating and executing but rather in impatience with their desire to have more money now. For those people, please just be patient. For those who are insincere and simply stirring the pot to discourage others...I have nothing for you.
