At this point, I think the ten year biologic protection upon approval of DCVax-l might be the IP gate. Let’s say that started 2024, that would protect any combos until about 2034 as well (under DCVax-l), imo, and Direct will be waiting in the wings for a similar ten year biologic exclusivity initiating whenever it becomes feasible (approved) (along with combos for that — if necessary). Don’t forget hyperactive DC IP as well. Unfortunately, I think Direct suffered dust gathering because bigger forces at play want to roll things out as a long term economic strategy which doesn’t often align with patient needs, imo.

Regardless, as you can see, a bean counter could squeeze many years of IP protection from the DCVax platform, but hopefully, it won’t be that Machiavellian.
