Yes and on the few occasions when Buffet has bought into revenue biotech it hasn't gone so well.

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway settles on its first biotech investment

He would have lost only about $20/share since that purchase, whereas of course if he was to buy $AVXL now he could lose only $6 or so per share. So you could say that would be a smarter decision.

The longer we wait, the sooner we will get rich!
