headfake isn't the first flash.
usually plays out over ~15 min,
baiting plays in direction of headfake,
in this case, downward today.

then usually a strong move into close
in the opposite direction,
theoretically upward today.

because they can...

i bought open 423c when i saw the down spike
rally back above the 2pm pre-fomc level.

this has been a bread-n-butter SPY trade for me
for a couple decades.

plays out far more often than not.

key caveat:
"far more often than not"
does not mean "always." ;)

time will tell how it plays out.
