I wondered who it was that attached that rider onto that bill:

Within a few months of the new rules, the MM’s convinced Congressman Steve Womack, Republican from Arkansas’ 3rd Congressional District to introduce a “Rider” to the 2024 Spending Bill on July 17th of this year, a copy below:

SEC. 552. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to finalize, implement, or enforce the rulemaking entitled ‘‘Regulation Best Execution,’’ ‘‘Order Competition Rule,’’ and ‘‘Regulation NMS: Minimum Pricing Increments, Access Fees, and Transparency of Better Priced Order.’’

Anyone think this is a shady attempt to sneak this rider into the House appropriations bill re: SEC funding to enforce against illegal actions like those in Harrington vs. CIBC World Markets Corp. and the $NWBO vs. 8 cheating MMs?
