The Young Diamondbacks team took the series over a very good team seasoned “Phillies Team.”

What it inspires in young ball players is priceless. It is also very good for Baseball to witness a “Cinderella” squad to get to the Big Show.

These “No name” players (Longoria the exception) has restored the idea of what can happen when youthful enthusiasm overcomes years of experience.

The kind of baseball clinic the Diamondbacks are putting on reminds me of the L.A. Dodger’s during the Koufax, Drysdale era. Maury Wills, Willie Davis. For those of you who remember them.

They call it “Small ball.” A walk is as good as a run. The speed of the young player outweighs the long ball of the slugger. Corbin Carroll stole 2nd base twice, putting him in a position to score. The Psychological effect this has on the opposing team is a real weapon that hasn't been seen in years.

It’s Fantastic what we are witnessing. It’s so very good for Baseball. "Very inspirational."
