Correct. They still use LPC today and have a facility with ROTH, too.

The only real negative, back in the day at least, was the constant selling pressure. Back then LWLG had OK daily volume/liquidity that did a decent job absorbing the selling but you could tell the ATM was being used some days. Nowadays since there’s so much volume it has minimal effect, if any at all.

The positive of an ATM is that they generally don’t come with excessive warrants.

Until POET has more institutional investors and market makers (aka liquidity), an ATM is not ideal. At this juncture POET cannot afford to have its stock/market cap decline much more. It’s probably better to bite the bullet, do a raise and deal with warrants and a little extra dilution, and stuff the coffers full of cash for another 6 months. Unfortunately even that scenario won’t completely get their backs off the wall.
