Mag, there are differences between viruses' multiplicative effects vs dementia.

The best way I can put it is if you get dementia, your neighbor will not catch it by being exposed to you.

Virus in the other hand have an exponential effect because they are spread.

That is why we can not compare virus to dementia deaths.

Now I do not fully agree on how things were handled, but that does not make the above incorrect. Hence the justification for over reacting.

The how was the problem in my opinion, not the why.
