Not impossible, but he would have some big hurdles to get over to take the company private. Not least of which would be 75%+ shareholder approval. That would likely require a MUCH higher bid than $1.50.

And in thinking about this, if he has not been aggressively accumulating at these depressed prices, then it is unlikely he is trying to take the company private.
