It's really sad that owning an EV, and especially a Tesla, means planning your trips/vacations around the availability of charging stations.

Maybe I don't want to/can't afford to stay at a Hilton. Then what?

With a normal car it doesn't matter - I can go anywhere, stay anywhere and buy fuel anywhere.

I can take off on a moment's notice and head up to the mountains or into the desert for days and never have to worry about being stranded because my fuel cell died.

But hey - at least Tesla's got that awesome Camp Mode to entertain you (marshmallows not included). Too bad it won't work when there's no juice (also the electric door locks won't function).

Who cares that a Tesla can go 0-60 in 2.x seconds on its way to a Hilton? How practical is that?
