Some ETFs follow current pps of a group of companies, some follow indices, some follow futures...KOLD and BOIL are both exchange-traded funds (ETFs), meaning they are traded on stock exchanges and can be bought and sold throughout the day. KOLD is a passively managed fund by ProShares that tracks the performance of the Bloomberg Natural Gas Subindex (TR) (200%). It was launched on Oct 3, 2011. BOIL is a passively managed fund by ProShares that tracks the performance of the Dow Jones-UBS Natural Gas Subindex (200%). It was launched on Oct 3, 2011. Both KOLD and BOIL are passive ETFs, meaning that they are not actively managed but aim to replicate the performance of the underlying index as closely as possible. https://portfolioslab.com/tools/stock-comparison/KOLD/BOIL

What I would like to know is what are the components to the Bloomberg Natural Gas Subindex and Dow Jones-UBS Natural Gas Subindex...it seems to me the indices are different other wise the inverses of each ticker would be almost mirror images and they are not...and it also amazes me that BOLD continually reaches historic lows...what industry does that other than shipping???
