Part 6 Tesla Corpus Christi Lithium Plant Deep Dive Video (3 production strategies Tesla will use)

Part 6 of my Lithium Refinery Deep Dive Video Series

This is part 6 and is the last video in this series! This has been a much more detailed and lengthy process making this series than I had originally expected, but I hope you are enjoying them and learning something along the way.

This video has a lot of detail and is very technical in nature. I discuss chemical processes and symbiology, I draw reference material from a variety of technical and scientific papers and other out-of-the-mainstream sources.

I tried to find a good balance between too deep of a technical dive, and being too superficial as to provide little value and gloss over too much of the complexity involved. I hope this helps give you a deeper understanding of the major challenges Tesla is undertaking with the new Lithium Refinery.

In this video, we discuss three of the various feed stock inputs and processing methodologies Tesla has in mind, starting with the initial Spodumene to Lithium Hydroxide production. This is the process Tesla is constructing right now and envisions production beginning in later 2024 and into 2025. as part of the initial processing operational capabilities for this plant. We talk about the ways Tesla is planning on differentiating these operations from the more current and "traditional" industry standards.

I also discuss Tesla's desire to accept battery "Black Mass" as a future feedstock, what this is, and how they may acquire and then build and/or integrate this into the initial refinery design. Associated with this, I also provide information about current and possible future partnerships Tesla has with other industry leaders that most likely are providing the expertise, knowledge, and tools Tesla needs to take on this project and meet their expansion goals.

Finally, I talk about the more theoretical lithium extraction from clay material first discussed at the Tesla's Battery Day in 2020, how this process might work, and the two most probable methodologies that would be involved.

I know this video is very technical and deep with information, but I hope you find what I cover, the information presented, and the various illustrations and discussions helpful and interesting!
