If Anthony Volpe didn't swing for the fences every time he batted he would have either met or exceeded expectations.

It seems that in Brian Cashman's world of analytics metrics such as launch angle and exit velocity take precedence over hitting for average.

Same holds true for Oswaldo Cabrera, much better hitter in 2022 before he also tried to hit a home run in every a bat.
