Part of my job years ago for some government agency of one of the old countries was restoration as we called it of lapsed patents.
In that period I noticed some of the BIEL patents had lapsed in a pattern consistent with the fact whether they had commercial interest in that particular country or not. That information is available to anyone but I was surprised no one on this board really cared.
I forgot how to look it up even for the USA and I do not bother to check
But what to think of it?
The rules for restoration are extremely strict .
We haven't got a clue what is going on.
Still using their products on a daily basis for the time being but......
