IIT-Kanpur partners with InterDigital Inc to engage 6G prospects

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK), and InterDigital Inc. have formed a research partnership to develop 6G enabling technologies for future wireless standards. InterDigital will sponsor research at IIT-K to advance extreme MIMO systems, improving spectrum efficiency and network coverage for 6G networks. This collaboration aligns with India's 6G vision and the joint research efforts between India and the United States. It highlights IIT Kanpur's role in 6G research and development. The partnership aims to contribute to the technology components of 6G networks, vital for advanced applications like metaverse and holographic communications.
