I don't get the point of drawing any comparisons whatever between Microsoft and Wave. You're just begging for ridicule, especially since Microsoft long ago began to share its tremendous pool of retained earnings with its shareholders.
I found Microsoft's initial, special dividend of $3.00 per share quite meaningful. Ex-dividend absorption seemed normal. In steady state the stock now pays a dividend of $0.40, which at the current shareprice represents a yield of about 1.4%.
