There is miles upon miles of empty desert around Jubail perfect for "just temporarily" dumping (ie storing) lithium spoil with no treehuggers bitching about it... or least treehuggers who like having their heads remain attached to their bodies. Plus Jubail processes nearly all its freshwater from desalination plants right there on the coast of the Persian Gulf. They have cheap cheap cheap fresh water coming out their Saudi asses in Jubail plus cheap cheap cheap electricity in Jubail compliments of Bechtel. If Elon Musk starts talking about building another EV or battery factory in Saudi Arabia in the coming months then this move by Aramco in Chile is a slam dunk.
