It now seems that the jet was left on auto-pilot and *may* have flown off to wherever. I would think that the pilot who elected for whatever reason might have considered taking it out. A good friend of mine- who is also a jet pilot- says that plane can land itself. If it did, seems like it would have had better sense than to land in a lake.
