Replacing the turf at MetLife Stadium did not help.

New turf was installed at MetLife Stadium this year after so many player injuries

It is not known whether the turf at MetLife Stadium had anything to do with the ankle injury New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered early in his new team’s Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills, but there was a long history of injuries with the previous turf, and it was replaced earlier this year.

Players from both the Jets and New York Giants, who call the stadium their home, gave the new FieldTurf core positive reviews in the preseason — including Rodgers.
