Bigworld, Your strategy of energy, metals, cash, short term Treasuries seems like a good one, and is similar to Rickards. And being out of regular stocks also makes sense. But the shorting strategy is where I would be very cautious, especially using 2X, 3X leverage. Those are devastating if you get the direction wrong, and also have the erosion problem over time. A lot safer to use 1X if you are bearish, and then only for brief periods of time. Just my 2 cents :o)
