Did you read the conflict of interest part from Dr. Subbiah's several papers in which he specifically mentioned that he received research funds for clinical trial from NWBO. He is a champion of using real world evidence for regulatory approval and he is also the fan of tumor-agnostic approval. As a matter of fact, the cancer drug he was the PI for the trial got FDA approval based on tumor-agnostic rule. Now he joined the institution which embraces the idea of using RWE for approval and has abundant experience and expertise in this regard. As a matter of fact, Merck even sought collaboration with McKesson on RWE on keytruda. Do you think that Dr.Subbiah who had been collaborating with NWBO for the past eight years, who knows DCVax-L much better than most of experts, who hasn't published any other papers on DCVax-L after many year's research except a couple of papers from the Direct trial, would miss this opportunity of delivering a vaccine that can cure cancer? Anyone in his shoes wouldn't.
