If the market was getting flooded with photonic devices and deals from other companies, then that would put up a LWLG Red Flag warning sign but that's not the case. It seems everyone is waiting for 100% confirmation whether it is scaling, yield or reliability before pulling the trigger and committing with anyone. The new lab and new hires will definitely speed up the turnaround time in testing, data collected, and adjustments needed for end users.
I believe Dr Lebby underestimated the amount of proof of concept that would be required by companies or foundries before making a financial commitment and that's why he has missed stated goals in the past. I believe the reason at the last ASM he did not provide any goals is because it is out of his control. He will have to keep providing test results and data until everyone is 100% satisfied with the results. When that will be time will tell but everyone knows the clock is ticking, photonics is the future, and ours has proven to exceed all others and continues to break records never seen before.
